Sykes:
We started this project with Sykes Global Park and later continued with Sykes San Pedro. The project consisted of replacing 3-tube 32W parabolic fixtures with more energy-efficient volumetric LED fixtures.

Project Objectives:
• Achieve energy savings of over 40% while improving light quality. 500 lux average in work areas.
• Improve light uniformity. Eliminate the cave effect on walls.
• Enable the addition of controls like buttons, dimming, and occupancy sensors while maintaining space flexibility.
• Allow for centralized monitoring and control without affecting the original wiring.
Strategies:
Replace 3-tube 32W parabolic fixtures, consuming 84 watts each.
Use volumetric LED fixtures, model 2VTLED 48L ADP MVOLT D47 840, consuming 46.9W.
Prepare the fixtures for future control integration while maintaining space flexibility. To achieve this, the fixtures were ordered with the
nLight Cat5 control module from Acuity Brands. This system allows for the creation of a Cat5 network to easily add dimming,
sensors, buttons, and clocks without modifying the circuits.
Results:
By simply changing the fixtures, we reduced consumption by 44%, achieving direct savings in both projects. The cave effect on the walls was completely eliminated, improving light perception in the space. Sykes Global Park has already implemented the control system with motion sensors, dimming, and clocks. This system is estimated to provide an additional 20% savings depending on space usage.
